Transportation Riders United

DDOT wants to hear from you, really!

DDOT has begun to recognize the value of rider input into their planning decisions, and TRU greatly applauds that!!

Last fall, DDOT held a series of public meetings to discuss some possible changes and did so very early in their planning process. They worked hard to explain their ideas and their limitations, then did what they could to address the comments, complaints, concerns, and suggestions they received. That’s one reason some of the 24-hour bus service was restored! And they tell us more adjustments and improvements are on the way.

Now, in partnership with Detroit’s District Offices. DDOT is hosting a series of Community Input Workshops and invites you to come meet the people who create your bus service.

“It’s time to roll up your sleeves and join us for a working meeting. Help us make the changes that matter most to you!”

  • Tuesday, April 5, from 6:00 – 7:30 pm
    • At the Northwest Activities Center, 18100 Meyers Road, Detroit
      Co-hosted by the Mayor’s District 2 Office
  • Wednesday, April 13, 6:00 – 7:30 pm

DDOT notes that these Community Input Workshops are casual events to discuss ideas. In addition to these workshops, DDOT will continue to hold formal public hearings for any specific service change proposals.
