Each spring, TRU hosts a Regional Transit Awards dinner to
- Bring together the community of regional transit supporters,
- Celebrate extraordinary groups and individuals fighting for improved transit, and
- Raise money for TRU’s ongoing work as Detroit’s nonprofit transit advocate.
The 2016 Awards dinner will be help Thursday evening May 12 at the Greektown Casino Hotel Ballroom.
Mingle with transit officials, community leaders and other transit supporters as we celebrate regional transit progress and recognize some of the people and projects that made it happen with Regional Transit Awards. (Awardees will be announced soon.)

This event begins at 5:30pm with an hors d’oeuvres reception, followed at 6:30pm with a three-course dinner and wine. The Awards Ceremony will run from 7:00 until 8:00pm, recognizing each amazing Awardee. Tickets at $75 if purchased by April 20, $90 after that date. Full tables of 8 people are available for $600.
