For the Dearborn--Detroit feeder service, a starter 14 mile light-rail system would be appropriate following Michigan Avenue to Downtown Detroit, then North to the Detroit Amtrak Station and to McNichols (Six Mile Road).

In this paper we make suggestions for policy changes to start doing this. By building towards a desired future, the pressure for sprawling development would be much less.
