Check across the nation, and you'll find that the resuscitation of railway stations has done more than spark city and town commercial revival.   From Wilmington, Del., to Ardmore, Okla., Macon, Ga., to Bellingham, Wash., revived stations are also bolstering a rebirth of civic pride, opportunities for meeting and mixing with fellow citizens, and providing alternatives to the
anonymity of exclusively auto-oriented existence.

The Brookings Institute has done a lot of work on Transportation and Land-Use issues.

Alliance for a New Transportation Charter
In an effort to bolster a significant amount of support for the next round of TEA-21, the Surface Transportation Policy Project is releasing a Charter with suggested priorities. After celebrating the 10th anniversary of ISTEA, they will meet with the Washington Press Club.
