Every day, SMART takes tens of thousands of our neighbors jobs, schools, doctors, grocery stores and more. Yet this essential service is at risk.
Despite cost cuts and fare increases, SMART cannot continue operating without additional funding – the first increase in 12 years.
On August 5, voters in Macomb, Oakland, and Wayne Counties can support SMART and keep our economy moving. A yes vote will renew the longstanding 0.59 mil property tax, with a modest increase to reflect rising costs.
Yet few people even know this is on the ballot. We need help from friends and supporter to help spread the word.
