TRU’s October Transit Tuesday Talk featured a discussion on The Detroit masterplan. The masterplan lays out the future of the city based on what Detroiters want to see. TRU was joined by Dara O’Byrne, Deputy Director of Detroit’s Office of Planning & Development and Julie Connochie, Planner IV – Strategic Planning; Detroit Office of Planning & Development.
Detroit’s master plan of policies hasn’t been update since 2009. The latest draft is expected around Q2 of 2026, afterward, Plan Detroit will be offering a chance to provide feedback through public comment.
