Want to give input to your transit agency, but don’t know when their meetings are?
TRU has you covered!
As part of our watchdog efforts, TRU is proud to provide a public google calendar with ALMOST ALL transit agency meetings for Macomb, Oakland, Washtenaw, and Wayne counties.
Previously, these meetings were included with our TRU public events (can also be viewed as a google calendar) calendar that shows all TRU events. We decided to split these calendars in two due to the amount of transit agencies in our region, and the amount of events TRU now does each month increasing a lot!
What meetings are included?
All meetings with public comment ran by:
- RTA, including the QLine, D2A2, and DAX
- DDOT
- SMART
- TheRide (AAATA)
- People Mover (DPM or DTC)
- Nankin Transit
- North Oakland Transit Authority (NOTA)
- Older People’s Commission (OPC)
- Western Oakland Transit Authority (WOTA)
- Western-Washtenaw Area Value Express (WAVE)
Unfortunately, People’s Express does not have regular public meetings.
Additionally, public meetings where transportation issues are a major topic of discussion; such as city council or county meetings, MDOT road redesign meetings, or city council meetings about transit budgets or projects.
We’ll also add some meetings for non-TRU organizations that discuss transit, such as our friends at Strong Towns Detroit and the Michigan Association of Railroad Passengers (MARP). For walking and cycling events, please check out Detroit Greenways Coalition’s citywide events calendar.
How do I view the calendar?
You can view the calendar below, and add it to your Google Calendar with the “Add to Google Calendar” button at the bottom left of your screen. It will stay updated with the main calendar and automatically show you new meetings!
