SMART Public Hearing – Westland

SMART will be holding public hearings for a slate of proposed service changes. Most of these changes are related to expanded service in Wayne County as a result of the 2026 Wayne Countywide Transit Millage passing.
 
Proposed service changes include three new routes (120 Fort St, 290 Newburgh, 295 Plymouth), as well as five route extensions (160 Downriver, 200 Michigan Local, 210 Michigan Local-Westland, 250 Ford Road, 255 Ford Road Express), and increased service days on two routes (525 Groesbeck and 780 Fifteen Mile).
 
This is an in-person only session held on Wednesday, November 18 at 7:00pm. This event will be at the Westland City Hall’s Gene McKinney Ballrooms A & B(36300 Warren Rd Westland, MI 48185 ). No reservation is required to attend.
