Michigan By Rail Public Forum

A series of public forums focusing on the future of Michigan’s passenger rail system are taking place throughout the state this summer and fall. The purpose is to engage Michigan citizens on their vision for travel options.

Each forum will include an overview of the existing system; an interactive rail mapping session; discussion of financing issues and a big-picture vision of the future of Michigan’s passenger rail system.

WHEN:  Monday, June 14, 6:00-8:00pm

WHERE:  St. John’s Episcopal Church (26998 Woodward Ave, Royal Oak)

The Royal Oak forum is sponsored by the Michigan Environmental Council, Michigan Association of Railroad Passengers, and the Michigan Suburbs Alliance.

Additional forums will be held in Traverse City, New Buffalo, Lansing, Jackson, Holland, Detroit, Kalamazoo, Grand Rapids, St. Joseph/Benton Harbor, and Ann Arbor.
