TRU is seeking smart, enthusiastic students and others to get actively involved in improving public transit throughout greater Detroit.
Positions include the following (download details):
- Business Engagement Intern, who will help involve the business community in advocating for improved transit
- Senior Mobility Outreach Intern, who will coordinate events, conduct senior surveys, and advocate for improved senior mobility
- Fundraising Event Intern, who will learn marketable skills by helping arrange a pair of unique and exciting fundraising events.
- Design & Marketing Intern to design attractive marketing materials to build broad public support
- Community Outreach Intern, who will build
transit support by managing community engagement events and TRU outreach at community festivals.
- Faces of Transit Intern, who will improve support for transit by telling the personal stories of transit riders and supporters through videos, pictures, and more.
- Social Media / Web Intern who will utilize Facebook, YouTube, Google AdWorks, and other social media to better educate and engage people in improving Detroit transit
These are generally unpaid part-time positions. Class credit may be available.
