We’re excited to announce Detroit Department of Transportation‘s new fare rates which go into effect on May 1st. While the regular single fare will increase from $1.50 to $2, it will now be good for 4 hours of unlimited rides and transfers on any route on both SMART and DDOT in any direction.
Another great change: 7 day & 31 day passes will become rolling passes, meaning they won’t expire until 7 or 31 days after first use. A new mobile app will be available to purchase 24-hr and 31 day passes. If you have any questions about the fare changes please contact DDOT directly at 313-933-1300.
