TRU is proud to announce the nominees for our Regional Transit Awards!
The twenty individuals, organizations, and companies listed below have worked passionately and diligently for more and better transit throughout greater Detroit over the past year and beyond. This list was developed through an open call for nominations, then narrowed down to four in each category by TRU’s Awards team (and eliminating current TRU Board members and staff). Descriptions of the categories and nominees are available online.
On May 15, TRU will host our first ever Regional Transit Awards ceremony and fundraising dinner. One winner from each category will be awarded the top prize in their category that night, selected by an independent panel of judges. Tickets are still available to attend the ceremony (no charge for on-duty media).
