One year ago, we despaired of ever getting an RTA.
Today, we’ve got a Regional Transit Authority in place! The Board is setting policies, the CEO is making plans, the Providers’ Committee is working out service coordination, and the Citizens’ Advisory Committee will soon start.
One year from today, we could be celebrating a huge influx of new money for transit, if the RTA proposes and voters approve dedicated regional transit funding.
