TRU Seeks Nonprofit Consultants; Applications OPEN

TRU is opening two RFPs for nonprofit consultants, both due October 21st

1) TRU Strategic Planning 2026 RFP

TRU is undertaking a strategic planning process to strengthen organizational influence, impact, and sustainability as well as to develop a clear multi-year plan to meaningfully improve metro Detroit transit and state transportation policy. We are seeking an experienced consultant to garner 360 degree feedback and lead us through leadership conversations to produce a new strategic plan. We have undertaken several planning efforts in years past but have grown significantly in recent years and need an updated plan to increase our impact. We will have a preference towards consultants with experience in the Metro Detroit area as well.

2) TRU Operations & Organizational Systems RFP

TRU’s staff and budget have tripled in the past few years and our internal systems have lagged behind. To maximize impact, minimize stress, and ensure efficient use of our resources, we seek an experienced operational consultant to audit, design, and implement scalable administrative systems, improve productivity, and optimize senior leadership time.

Consultants are welcome to submit an application to both of these contracts. Please email Megan Owens, TRU’s Executive Director ([email protected]) with questions.
