During the Wayne County transit meeting hosted by MOSES and TRU last Thursday, RTCC Deputy Director John Swatosh announced that the public meetings on the official regional transit plan being developed by the RTCC will be held on Monday, September 29 through Thursday, October 2. Meetings will likely be 
held from 4-7pm in Detroit, Oakland County, Macomb County and outer Wayne County. Specific locations and other details will be announced soon. Stay tuned!
Charged by the big four with the development of an official regional transit plan for the tri-county area, John Hertel, John Swatosh and their staff and consultants have already developed a regional vision for transit. That vision was unanimously supported by the big four. Now they are drafting the official plan. It will include proposed bus improvements, a wide variety of different types of rapid transit, and possibilities for funding.
