One D Scorecard unveiled, ranking transit and other key indicators

The 2010 One D Scorecard measures Southeast Michigan’s performance in over 120 indicators aligned with five key priority areas: Educational Preparedness, Economic Prosperity, Quality of Life, Social Equity, and Regional Transit. Through the Scorecard, One D seeks to track progress on shared regional goals, report on change within the categories, and promote a more informed civic dialogue.

Per Capita Hours of Delay Due to Traffic Congestion
In 2007, Detroit ranked 43rd of 50 urban areas for lowest hours of delay per person due to congestion.

Percent of Workers Age 16 and Older Driving a Car, Truck, or Van Alone to Work
In 2009, the Detroit CSA ranked 49th of 54 metro areas for the lowest percentage of workers commuting alone.

Public Transit Ridership
In 2008, Detroit ranked 21st of 50 urbanized areas for bus use.
