The RTA is accepting applications for the Citizens’ Advisory Committee for 2015-16 through Nov 24.
“The purpose of the Regional Transit Authority Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC) is to advise the RTA on transit issues, make suggestions for improvements in transit service, and advocate for greater funding for public transportation.”
The CAC is made up of between 10 and 50 individuals evenly divided throughout the four-counties of the RTA region and the City of Detroit. To ensure diversity and statutory requirements, the CAC is especially seeking:
- Residents of Macomb County
- Users of public transportation
- Senior citizens and people with disabilities
- Individuals representing business, labor, community, and faith-based organizations
The full CAC meets monthly, currently 4-6pm on Mondays in Detroit and has subcommittees focused on Policy, Outreach, and Seniors/People with Disabilities.
Learn more about the CAC and the application process by downloading the RTA’s CAC Policy 2015 document.
Apply by downloading the RTA_CAC_Application and submitting the completed application to info@rtasoutheastmichigan.org by 3pm on November 24.
