RTA Expands its Citizens Advisory Council

On October 3, the RTA passed  a resolution to expand the membership of its CAC by up to 20 members. The membership of the CAC, once new members are appointed, will now total 50 members, including the 30 CAC members appointed last month.

The RTA is tasked with coordinating public transportation across the City of Detroit and throughout Macomb, Oakland, Washtenaw and Wayne counties. The Citizens Advisory Council (CAC) is to advise RTA on transit issues, make suggestions for improvements in transit service and to advocate for greater funding for public transportation.

We encourage anyone interested to apply, although the RTA is especially seeking people Macomb and Washtenaw Counties.

To apply, visit the RTA’s website, www.semcog.org/RTA.aspx and fill out an application form.

The application deadline is October 23, 2013.
