Death by a thousand cuts as the saying goes. DDOT cut bus service in 2005, 2009 and again in April, together eliminating over half of all of Detroit’s bus service. And now they plan to cut even more!?!
DDOT has proposed additional service cuts in June:
- Eliminating 3 routes entirely;
- Eliminating ALL service from 2:00-5:00 am;
- Significantly increasing wait times after 9:00 pm; and
- Painful cuts to Saturday and Sunday service.
There are three key ways you can help prevent these cuts!
1) Come to these Public Hearings and tell DDOT “No More Cuts!"

- Friday, May 13, 11am – 1pm and again 6pm – 8pm
- Northwest Activities Center, 18100 Meyers, Detroit
- Thursday, May 26, 5 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
