On May 11, 2017, TRU will present our Regional Transit Awards, recognizing the important work individuals and groups are doing to improve transit throughout greater Detroit.

Who do you think should be recognized?

Potential award categories include, Transit Employee of the Year, Corporate Transit Champion Award, Exemplary Innovation Award, Under 30 – Breakthrough Transit Champion, Unsung Hero, and Forward Motion Award for Most Effective Public Servant.

TRU’s 2016 Regional Transit Awards dinner is this Thursday evening, May 12. It is shaping up to be a wonderful event!!

If you’re registered to attend, following are details and logistics that should help address most questions you might have.

Note – if you’re not yet bought your ticket but are interested in attending, please call the TRU office asap at 313-963-8872 and ask for Megan. Despite last week’s registration deadline, we may be able to fit you in.

Each spring, TRU hosts a Regional Transit Awards dinner to bring together transit supporters, celebrate those fighting for improved transit, and raise money for TRU’s work as Detroit’s nonprofit transit advocate.
The 2016 Awards dinner will be held Thursday evening May 12 at the Greektown Casino Hotel Ballroom.
Mingle with transit officials, community leaders and other transit supporters as we celebrate regional transit progress and recognize some of the people and projects that made it happen with Regional Transit Awards. (Awardees will be announced in April.)
