Tell Kevyn Orr NOT to Cut DDOT Bus Service or Funding!

Detroit needs Good Bus Service NO MATTER WHAT!

Mayor Bing and City Council agreed on a budget maintaining DDOT funding at $57 million, which should maintain current service.  But Emergency Manager Kevyn Orr could gut or change DDOT funding at any time.

Don’t Cut Bus Funding – Over the past two years, the City has cut DDOT funding – from $80 million a few years ago to $53 million in 2011 and $43 million this fiscal year. Less funding has resulted in services cuts.  TRU supports the $57 million approved for Fiscal Year 2013-14.

Don’t Cut Bus Service – In the past ten years, the City has cut over half of DDOT bus service, leaving too many people waiting too long for the buses they need.

Call Detroit’s Emergency Manager Kevyn Orr at (313) 224-3400.

Tell him: No bus funding cuts! No bus service cuts!
