Yesterday, a DDOT driver got assaulted at the Rosa Parks Transit Center.  Union reps report that the assault lasted 15 minutes or more and no one came to the aid of the driver, despite there being full time security at the Center.  Drivers say it was the last straw.  They don’t feel safe going out

Just when you thought Detroit area bus service could not get worse, adding to the problems of DDOT’s horrendous service, SMART has proposed massive cuts in its bus service! With the proposed cuts SMART will: Eliminate 15 routes, Dramatically slash service within Detroit, Eliminate several Connector Services, and Less weekend service. Despite major budget woes,
