Any doubt that southeast Michigan needs and wants an official Regional Transit Authority is being quickly swept away!  Nearly all of the major elected bodies in the region have recently passed (or are about to pass) resolutions in support of creating a Regional Transit Authority! The Macomb County Commission passed a resolution unanimously last month.

Rail Funding Victory This past week the Michigan Senate took key steps to receive $131 million pledged to Michigan by the US Department of Transportation. But we can only get that money if the state provides a 20% match. The full Michigan Senate voted to provide that match money: 30 yes, 6 no, and 2
