Join Transportation Riders United and the Michigan Association of Railroad Passengers (MARP) for an event exploring intercity transportation: The bus-train connection! This will be a joint meeting of members and volunteers with both organizations, and is open to the general public as well!
This event will be held from 2 to 4pm at the Dearborn Transit Center on Saturday, April 18th.
The first half of the event will be a presentation on intercity transportation in Michigan by Petra Mihalko, TRU’s Communications Manager. This presentation will discuss what we have in our state, a brief overview of the past, what MDOT is doing to expand intercity transportation, and how you can help. Afterwards, we’ll have an open free-form discussion so TRU and MARP members can meet each other and talk! Questions about the presentation will be welcomed as well.
Light refreshments and snacks will be provided. Additionally, the event has been timed so members from across the state can arrive and depart same day via the Amtrak Wolverine. We can’t wait to see you there!
