Detroit Mayoral Forum on Transit Set for June 4

Update – in-person tickets sold out as of 5/27. Zoom registrations still welcome.

2025 is a critically important election year in the City of Detroit.

For the first time in 12 years, the name Mike Duggan will not be on the ballot, and the race for Mayor is wide open, with over half a dozen candidates in the running. The entire City Council is up for reelection as well.

As a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) nonprofit, TRU does not endorse or oppose candidates for office. However, we believe better public transit is crucial to the future of the city and Detroit’s Mayor makes critical decisions for Detroit area transit, so it’s vital for voters to understand where candidates stand on the issue.

Come hear what Detroit’s next mayor says about transit!

Join us June 4 to hear Detroit mayoral candidates answer questions specifically about what they’ll do to improve and expand public transit, safe streets, and other clean affordable mobility options.
