SMART Board of Directors

SMART’s board of directors generally meets at 2 p.m. on the fourth Thursday of each month. Most meetings are held in the Authority’s administrative offices, on the sixth floor of the Buhl Building in downtown Detroit.
As of May 2025, virtual public comment at these meetings has been restored. Members of the public may participate by giving comments in-person or via Zoom during public comment at the beginning of the meeting, or by email (to [email protected]) before 1:15pm on the day of the meeting. The meetings are usually livestreamed on SMART’s YouTube channel.
Attendees of meetings at the Buhl Building must sign in with building security to access the meeting room.
