Thank YOU! For coming to the Capitol and calling your legislators!
We mobilized over 100 people to Lansing yesterday! We were joined by numerous transit agencies from Detroit and across Michigan, transit drivers with the ATU, and advocates from all over the the state!
We sat down with 50+ legislators/staff for meetings, connecting our state’s decision makers with people who rely on public transit and want to see our systems improve.
What we’re fighting for:
- Boost transit funding for all of Michigan’s 77 local bus agencies to maintain critical service Michiganders depend on
- Launch a Coast-to-Coast express bus connecting Detroit, Lansing, and Grand Rapids at least 6 times a day
- Double Indian Trails coach bus service Up-North.
- Maximize all allowable transit funding sources.
- Pass a law to keep our transit workers safe.
If you missed Transit Day at the Capitol, it’s not too late to make your voice heard! Here’s what you can do today:
- Email 3 legislators with one form!
- Call your state representative.
- Call your state senator.
- Call the Governor’s office at 517-335-7858.
