Ahead of this year’s State of Transit event, we met with riders to hear their perspective on the current State of Transit. Hear more about their stories below!
Mary Jo:
The current state of transit is “better than it probably used to be, but not as good as it was a long time ago,” Mary Jo said. “I’m hopeful and certainly looking forward to the passage of the ballot issue in August so I can visit some of my friends on a bus who live in Plymouth or Livonia, that’ll be fun.”
Duane:
“I can tell that the constant pressure that’s being applied is working,” Duane said. “I see the difference in timeliness, I see the difference in route availability.”
Chuck:
“(Transit) It’s the lifeblood, I mean you gotta get where you need to go,” Chuck said. “Certainly since COVID times service has improved drastically.”
