With election season fully upon us, it’s important to know where candidates and elected officials stand on the issues that are most important to us. There’s a lot of talk out there, but this election season brings us an opportunity to show that actions are louder than words.
TRU has a challenge for anyone who cares about transit: Ask candidates about transit!
Whether at a candidate forum, a local community parade, online, or elsewhere, it is important to ask your local candidates and elected officials about transit. Feel free to ask other candidates and elected officials the same questions; the more that know transit matters do their constituents, the better!
Find your Candidates
Below is a spreadsheet with the names and ways to find contact information for elected officials and candidates across the four county region. You’ll find listings for the U.S. Congress, the state house, and the state senate
Response Form
Once you’ve asked a candidate about transit, we would love for you to let us know what they said! Email Aaron@DetroitTransit.org to tell us their response, which you can complete as multiple times for various candidates. This will really help us hold them accountable if elected!
